Have a wonderful summer break!  Don’t forget to read and practice math facts.  I really enjoyed having all of you and know that you will be a success.  Life is what you put into it and I know that all of you have what it takes to continue to do well.  Make good choices, listen to your parents, and continue to use your love of learning and you will be unstoppable.  My door is always open if you would like to talk and be sure to keep me up dated.  My first group of Second Graders are Sophomores!   I care for each one of you I’ve had over the last eight years and hope you are all doing well.  Please add a post and let me know how you are doing!

Research Inventors

Our class is working on researching famous inventors.  Students are learning how to find various sources and write a research paper.  They are also learning how to cite their sources.  The line to the right will help students research their inventor and find articles to help with their writing.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Think about Charlie in the beginning of the novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  How does it make you feel about the food, shelter, and toys that you have?  Does it make you appreciate what you have more?  Please explain what is different about your life and Charlie Bucket’s life and how that makes you feel.
